Why 'my gut says no' isn't a defensible answer
A gut call works fine right up until someone with more authority disagrees with it, or someone who wasn't in the room needs an explanation. At that point, 'I don't think this works' stops being an answer and starts being an assertion. Here is what actually makes a communications decision defensible.
